Synopsis

Jackal is an invisible assassin who makes his living taking hits for top dollar He soon meets a tough British intelligence officer who pursues him on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. The novel is set in 1963 and includes an assassination attempt on then French President Charles de Gaulle.

The play takes the setting to the present day

a remake of the movie "Day of the Jackal" (1973). "Where we went wrong" I saw a strong comment that Casting Redmayne was the perfect choice for this remake of the classic.

She looks inexperienced for this role

A major mistake was the female lead role of MI6 agent Lashana Lynch. She tried too hard to impress and seemed to undercut her role, which should have gone to a more experienced actress.

They should have cast a more reliable and experienced actress like Christina Adams

I will admit that the rest of the cast is good and the acting is decent. The story and production worked for me and I was drawn to the action scenes with Redmayne.
